VideoSurf API Documentation 1.2

VideoSurf's RESTful APIs provide you with tools to search for and retrieve information about millions of online videos.

Our APIs may be used pursuant to the Terms of Use. (See API Usage Guidelines).

Select one of the APIs below for more details:

• Video Search API

  This API gives you access to all the power of VideoSurf's state of the art, vision assisted video search technology. Search on any topic and retrieve relevant videos, thumbnails, related topics, related people and more.

• Video Lookup API

  This API lets you leverage VideoSurf's amazing video metadata to enhance any page that contains videos. Retrieve thumbnails, visual summaries, related topics, related people and more.

• Related Video API

  This API lets you retrieve related videos for a given video, broken down into various types.

• Entity Recognition API

  Various VideoSurf APIs rely the use of entity ids to represent various people and topics in our system. Use this service to look up specific entities via their names.

• Entity Information API

  This API returns detailed information about specific VideoSurf entities.

• Featured Entity API

  VideoSurf algorithms select entities to feature on our homepage and elsewhere on our site. They are people or topics that are currently featured in the news or blogs. The list is updated very frequently, and the process is automatic. Use this service to retrieve a current list of these entities.

• Featured Video API

  This API allows you to retrieve information about videos that VideoSurf has chosen to feature in various categories like Sports, Movies, TV and Music.

• Featured Search Term API

  This API returns the latest search terms that VideoSurf has chosen to feature on the homepage.
