Expand Core Software Engineer
Build core technology and algorithms for Videosurf's groundbreaking computer vision machinery.
Qualifications:
  • You have a BSc, MSc, PhD or higher in any Engineering/CS discipline from a top tier engineering school.
  • You are an expert in C++ programming language and C++ design patterns.
  • You have practical knowledge of design patterns and analysis algorithms.
  • You have the desire to be at an early stage company and make a difference.
  • You have at least 3 years of industry coding experience.
  • You have experience with UNIX / LINUX systems.

Expand Sr. Advertising System Engineer
You will be responsible for helping to design and build a revolutionary monetization engine for video based on Videosurf's proprietary fast computation and computer vision algorithms.
Qualifications:
  • You have a BSc, MSc, PhD or higher in any Engineering/CS discipline from a top tier engineering school.
  • You are an expert in C++ and/or Java.
  • You are an expert in large volume database/storage systems.
  • You are proficient with Linux/Unix and open source tools/platforms.
  • You have training and experience in areas such as data analysis, survey design, statistical modeling, data mining and optimization.
  • You've had exposure to advanced machine learning techniques (Bayesian belief networks, JTA, Kalman filters, game and auction theory).
  • You have strong experience in building highly scalable Enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge in emerging tools and technologies is a plus.
  • You have the desire to be at an early stage company and make a difference.
  • You have at least 5 years of industry experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Business Unit, Product Development Teams and Videosurf's science team to design and develop the Advertising System.
  • Design and implement the architecture that will maximize scalability while maintaining a high degree of flexibility.
  • Research algorithms and measurement methods to optimize the efficacy of the advertising system.

Expand QA Manager
QA Manager will be responsible for developing from the ground up, managing and executing all QA processes.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years testing commercial websites.
  • Knowledge of QA methodology, testing techniques and approaches.
  • Passion for testing and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP.
  • Experience with SVN, JavaScript, XHTML and CSS preferred.
  • Experience with test automation, performance and load testing is a big plus.
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems or other relevant field.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Set up test environments used to ensure quality.
  • Ensure timely releases of the product.
  • Communicate with users on quality related issues on the site.

  • You have experience with Job queuing and scheduling optimization, familiar with other open source tools, such as torgue, SUNGRIDEngine and Hbase.
  • You have experience with distributed files system, such as Hadoop and PVFS.
  • You have experience with hpc related software/libraries, such as MPI, openMP and intel or pgi compilers.
  • You know python/c/c++ well and follow best software practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and architect computational cloud services for image processing and other data mining algorithms.
  • Design/optimize/profiling software/frameworks used in the cloud.

As a Search Engineer you will work on relevancy, scalability and build related features.
Qualifications:
  • You have a BS in Engineering/CS discipline from a top tier engineering school or equivalent experience.
  • Java experience with emphasis on Object Oriented Concepts is a must.
  • Experience with Lucene, SOLR or other IR libraries and search servers is a plus.
  • You have hands on experience on Linux/Unix/OSX.

Expand Crawling/Data mining Engineer
As a Crawling/Data mining Engineer you will be responsible for building and architecting a scaleable crawling system.
Qualifications:
  • You have a BS/PhD in Engineering/CS discipline from a top tier engineering school or equivalent experience.
  • You have experience with web crawling systems and related software, such as lucene and nutch.
  • You have experience with distributed files systems, such as Hadoop and PVFS.
  • You have experience with pattern recognition / data mining algorithms.
  • You know python/c/java well and follow best software practices.
  • You have hands on experience with Linux/Unix/OSX

  • You have experience with - php, Javascript, CSS, HTML, XML, DOM, and other web technologies.
  • You know Flash 8/CS3, object oriented programming with AS2 and AS3 or can pick it up in a day.
  • You learn new languages and technologies quickly, you are innovative, enjoy challenges and have a great work ethic.
  • You have the desire to be at an early stage company and make a difference.

Expand Data Acquisition Engineer
As a data acquisition engineer you will be responsible for building a scalable data acquisition system.
Qualifications:
  • You have a BS in Engineering/CS discipline from a top tier engineering school or equivalent experience.
  • You have experience developing and implementing appropriate data acquisition methods for web pages and RSS feeds.
  • You know python/perl/java well and follow best software practices.
  • You have hands on experience with Linux/Unix/OSX
  • You learn new languages and technologies quickly, enjoy challenges, are innovative, and have a great work ethic.
  • You have the desire to be at an early stage company and make a difference.
  • Familiarity with database and SQL is a plus
  • Familiarity with online video codec and streaming technology is a plus.
