Submit Your Site

Do you have videos on your website or blog? Let us know about your content so that we can add it to the VideoSurf index. Once added to the index, when VideoSurf users search for something for which your videos are relevant, your content will appear in the results.

Submitting your site is easy – all you need to do is provide a valid VideoSurf Media RSS feed. In order for your videos to be added to the VideoSurf index, the feed must include the following elements in each item:

• <title>Title of the specific video</title>
• <link>Page where the video is displayed on your site</link>
• <media:content>Attributes of the video object</media:content> url attribute is required – this attribute must specify the direct url to the media object (not the URL to the page which shows that media object)
• <media:rating>Permissible audience for the video</media:rating> The scheme attribute (URI identifying the rating scheme) is optional - If this attribute is not included, the default scheme is urn:simple (adult | nonadult).

Other elements and attributes included in the VideoSurf Media RSS Specification are optional, but we highly encourage you to use as many of them as you can – providing more information will improve the relevance of your content.
